Books & DVDs
All patrons must have a library card in order to check out Books, Audio Books, and DVDs
In order to acquire a library card, please contact us via telephone at (705) 679-8120 or come visit us on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12pm and 3pm for curbside service
A maximum of 5 items total can be checked out at a time (only 3 of which can be DVDs)
The loan period for all DVD rentals is 1 week
The loan period for all Books and Audio Books is 3 weeks
The fine for late DVD returns is $1.00 per day (per item) after the initial 1 week loan period
The fine for late Book and Audio Book returns is $0.25 per day (per item) after the initial 3 week loan period

Letter (8.5×11)
- One-Sided – $0.35 per page
- Two-Sided – $0.60 per page
Legal (8.5×14)
- One-Sided – $0.45 per page
- Two-Sided – $0.80 per page
Faxing:
- Long Distance – $1.00
- Local & Toll Free #s – Free
Scanning:
This service is free so long as you aren’t printing your scans!
Makerspace
Introducing the Cobalt Public Library’s new Makerspace!
Button Maker
Our new button maker allows patrons to make a button from any printed image they choose!
Button sizes:
- 1″
- 1-1/2″
- 2-1/4″
$0.50 per Button (any size)
3D Printer
Our new 3D printer allows patrons to print essentially any 3D model they want! (So long as the size and print time isn’t too large of course)
Patrons can either serf the web to find their desired print, or even design their own 3D model provided they understand the modelling software.
Pricing of the prints will be discussed in-person before the printing process.
Animal Tags
Animal tags are available for pick up on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12-3pm. Please call ahead so that all the paperwork can be completed over the phone to limit contact.
- Register a Spayed/Neutered Dog or Cat – $20
- Register a Dog or Cat – $30
Senior Citizens are eligible for 50% off the two services listed above.
- Purchase a Replacement Tag – $5
